That feeling of failure can haunt you for the rest of your life.
Are you also feeling heartache from your failures?
From the teachings of Ryuho Okawa, I have chosen a prescription for the heart that assures you can surely fulfill some dream, even if you are crushed by setbacks and failures.

What setbacks and failures teach us
It is precisely because we challenge high goals that we experience setbacks and failures; those who do not challenge high goals will not encounter setbacks or failures. People who simply go with the flow, floating like jellyfish, do not experience setbacks or failures. It is because we constantly aim to overcome high hurdles that we encounter hurdles we cannot overcome. This point must not be mistaken.
It is often said in society that "to achieve greatness as a human being, experiences such as serious illness, unemployment, bankruptcy, being a ronin, heartbreak, and divorce are necessary, and only after going through such experiences can one truly blossom as a person."
Of course, such experiences are not something one desires, but through these experiences, having a period of introspection allows one to look deeply at oneself and also develop a perspective on others.
Highly capable people tend to rush toward their goals, often disregarding the feelings of others and ignoring the deeper parts of their own hearts, which can lead to overexertion.
Therefore, when striving toward high goals, instead of complaining or feeling down when you fail, it is necessary to think, "I have been given an important period of rest," and to make a positive turnaround, that is, to shift your mindset and turn your heart toward the light.
Never think, "This has delayed my promotion" or "This has ruined my life." Perfectionists and idealists can be fragile in the face of setbacks, but it is not the setbacks that ruin them; rather, they must use them as a reason to strive even harder.
Going through trials is important. Even excellent people do not usually reach the pinnacle of life without any failures or difficulties.
Continue to put in effort upon effort, and diligence upon diligence
When we look at successful people in the world, there is almost one commonality: they are "continuously putting in effort upon effort and diligence upon diligence." It is simple, but when we observe successful people, it is indeed the case.
They are not just putting in effort; they are continuously putting in effort upon effort and diligence upon diligence. This is the law of success, and there are no exceptions.
However, there can be temporary successes. There may be instances like "winning the lottery" or "winning a horse race," but those are merely temporary.
Yet, when we look at successful people in the world, without exception, they are continuously putting in effort upon effort and diligence upon diligence.
"Drawing dreams, fighting fear with faith, and continuously putting in effort upon effort and diligence upon diligence to realize concrete goals" is a very important mindset.
"Putting in effort upon effort. Putting in diligence upon diligence" means "making one more additional effort." It is about pushing a little harder when others think, "Well, this is good enough."
Methods for realizing hopes
It is easy for anyone to superficially think, "It would be nice if I succeeded like this," but it is not good if a heart that immediately denies that realization arises. In other words, you must train your subconscious mind.
To train your subconscious mind to start working toward realizing your hopes, there are three methods.
The first method is to utilize the power of words. It is to do the opposite of the law that says, "Those who murmur do not achieve their desires." Specifically, it means not speaking self-denying words and consistently saying, "I will succeed. Good things will surely come."
By not speaking negative words and developing the habit of speaking positive words, the image of prosperity is imprinted in your heart through your ears, and eventually, good things will happen in reality. It is similar to being on the right train; even if you doze off, you will get closer to your destination.
The second method is to utilize the power of thought.
Human thoughts have power. When these thoughts begin to concentrate on a certain point, they can manifest as physical power, similar to throwing an object. This kind of thought is called "nen."
When humans leave this world and return to the world of the afterlife, they gradually learn how wonderful this power of thought is, but not many people are aware of this power while they are alive.
Concentrating thought on a certain purpose has a similar effect to throwing a lasso. When the loop encircles the target, the rope tightens, and you can pull it closer. Concentrating your thoughts on success for as long as possible is the second method for realizing hopes.
The third method is the persistence of imagery.
Imagery refers to the images that arise in the mind, and first, it must be solid. In other words, the vision that appeals to the senses must be clear and vivid.
As mentioned earlier, the subconscious mind is a mind with tendencies, and when a clear and vivid vision is drawn in the deep recesses of the mind, a certain tendency emerges. Therefore, if you continuously draw a clear image, the subconscious will begin to move in the direction indicated.
The important thing here is the persistence of that imagery.
The subconscious mind works like a good-natured driver who follows instructions; if you say, "Go right," it immediately goes right, and if you say, "Go left," it immediately goes left, turning the wheel according to orders in front or behind. Therefore, if you change orders too frequently, the car will not move forward at all.
However, if you continue to give consistent commands, such as "forward" or "right," the subconscious mind is very diligent, and without the person realizing it, it will continue to make progress.
Thus, once you have a clear image in your mind, it is very important to maintain that thought.
Can you continue with conviction?
I believe that starting from a dream, it must then change from a dream to a practical, concrete goal that should be realized.
From a dream to a goal that should be realized, and from that goal, the next stage comes where you concretely consider, "What efforts must I make, and what collaborators must I gain to make this possible?" I think it is important to be able to continue with conviction during that time. (Omitted)
"Dream," "Desire," and then it becomes a "Goal," but I think there is a question of whether "that is something like an unbendable conviction, or is it something that can still be transformed and chosen differently, a matter of choice."
If it is something where "I can achieve a sense of accomplishment with other options as well," then considering various factors such as relationships, it may be acceptable to change paths or to withdraw and acknowledge defeat. However, I believe that what should not be given up should be shouted out loud.
Continue to envision even when a 'wall' appears
For something to materialize, there is usually a "trigger." Speaking strictly at the personal level, for example, even to build a single home, if there is no thought of "building," it will not be built.
Even to buy a car, if there is no thought of "I will buy it," you cannot buy it.
Marriage also cannot happen unless you think, "I will do it," and even in evangelism, it cannot happen unless you think about it.
However, the ability to "dream" actually exists, but at first, there may be "walls" that feel difficult, and it may seem easy to fail.
However, you must not give up there. If you think, "I won't let this get to me" and persist, you will realize your dreams in one of three ways: "as you imagined," "in a different form than you imagined," or "in a form even more amazing than you imagined."
People tend to dislike talking about their dreams when they fear failure too much, but I believe they should not be afraid. Rather, it is good to keep writing down goals or drawing visions and posting them. Things that are visualized and depicted in a visible form are much easier to realize.
"The resource of perseverance for success can be created"
Anyway, many people think that success and luck in life are determined solely by intelligence or talent, and indeed, that may be true in the short term. However, over a long period, even those with too much talent or ability can fail. There are people who fail in relationships or lack a sense of money and fail.
Therefore, it is important to make efforts that grow like a "snowball," rolling forward no matter what happens.
"Perseverance" is a truly important resource for those who may not yet have fully blossomed their talents or abilities, or who are thought to lack such qualities, to achieve success.
Please understand that this resource can be created through "self-discipline" and "training," even if you were not born with it. By having such a mindset and accumulating each day, this resource can be developed.
No matter how much you stir water, it will not turn into oil. However, the human heart can change when one trains hard with a goal.
And I hope you understand that even if something seems very difficult now, eventually, you will be able to do it easily.
If you continue with one thing for ten years, you can become an expert.
If you lose doing the same thing in a short time, then just do it for a longer time. As in the story of the "Tortoise and the Hare," while there may be differences in talent for short-term efforts, those who continue for a long time, like the tortoise, will become experts.
Whatever you do, if you dedicate yourself to one thing for about ten years, you generally won't lose. Whether you become a hairdresser, a fisherman, or a golfer, if you continue for ten years, you won't lose to amateurs.
This is true in any field, so don't give up on yourself too easily and think, "There is a way."
