'God exists, and so do heaven and the afterlife'
~ Dr. Hawking's claim 'There is no heaven or afterlife' is not true ~
The statement made by British physicist Dr. Stephen Hawking in an interview with the British newspaper 'The Guardian' on the 16th, saying 'There is no heaven or afterlife,' has been covered by media such as Reuters and Yahoo, causing controversy worldwide.
In the same interview, Dr. Hawking stated, 'I regard the human brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken computers. That is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark,' denying the existence of an afterlife. Additionally, in his 2010 book 'The Grand Design,' he stated, 'There is no place for God in theories on the creation of the universe,' and 'The universe can be explained through science,' leading him to the conviction that the universe and humanity have arisen and formed spontaneously as a result of the progress of physics.
Such statements by Dr. Hawking directly deny the core concepts of religion and are utterly unacceptable to religious people.
God exists, and so do the afterlife realms such as heaven and hell. Humans are created by God and possess eternal life as souls. Our true form is to repeatedly reincarnate with the purpose of enhancing enlightenment and building a utopia in the world created by God. Additionally, Happy Science acknowledges the existence of extraterrestrials. God exists not only on Earth but also in the universe, and souls created by God exist with a purpose. Everything exists as a manifestation of God's will and is by no means a product of chance.
To clarify this truth, Ryuho Okawa, the founder of the Happy Science Group, has delivered over 1,500 lectures and authored 700 books, clearly explaining what God and Buddha are, the structure and mechanism of the afterlife, and more. As proof of the spirit world, he records the words of spirits in public settings and sometimes publishes books at a pace of over ten per month. As the name 'Science' in the organization suggests, the process of exploring the spiritual world is made entirely open, conveying the teachings in an understandable form to many modern people and continuing to save them. By providing clear answers to fundamental questions such as 'Why do people exist?' and 'What is the purpose of life?', many people are healed from suffering and worries and find hope. Religious people, believing in the power of God and the afterlife, work selflessly day and night to save lost souls and those in trouble. Dr. Hawking's statements cannot help but be seen as mocking such religious people.
Great scientists like Newton and Einstein believed in God. While I respect Dr. Hawking's achievements in the field of science, I hope he will have the intellectual humility as a scientist and reverence for religious thought to correct his statements.
