The items discussed this time as "Concrete Manifestation of Protection" are, I believe, the foundation that maximizes the brilliance of our lives and also a practice to eliminate the gaps in the heart.

Failures Caused by Lack of Gratitude

Soon after I entered Happy Science open_in_new, I was assigned to the New York branch open_in_new. However, gradually, feelings of resistance against the directives from headquarters arose, and my relationships at the branch open_in_new also deteriorated. I was called back to Japan and began to engage in reflection under my superior, but even after a week, I couldn't reflect properly.

Just when I thought of giving up, I suddenly realized, "I haven't expressed my gratitude to my parents until now." So, I called my home in Fukushima from a phone booth and said, "Dad, Mom. Thank you for raising me." My mother worriedly asked, "Are you feeling unwell?" and my father said, "That's what parents do, of course."

At that moment, it felt like something "black" burst out from my chest, and my heart became lighter. I realized that I had not noticed my parents' love, and I was able to reflect on my own arrogance. From that point on, my gratitude towards my superiors and those around me grew stronger, and even after returning to the branch, my relationships improved. For me, reflecting on and being grateful to my parents became the origin of all my realizations.

Concrete Manifestation of Protection Against Evil Spirits

Looking back, the "black thing" that came out from my chest was probably the "evil spirit" invited by my arrogance. An evil spirit is a spirit that takes advantage of the "gaps in the heart" and exerts a bad influence. When possessed by an evil spirit, one may step on the "accelerator" even in situations where they would normally control their emotions, leading to more hatred towards others or self-blame. Therefore, when one properly steps on the "brake" and learns to control their heart, they find peace and happiness.

The items presented in the "Concrete Manifestation of Protection" represent a way of living that allows one to shine while coexisting and prospering with others. It is also a mindset that wards off evil spirits and brings one closer to the "heart of an angel." Through practice, this month's guideline will become everyone's "treasure."
