You are fine just as you are.
When you think about replacing your life with someone else's, suffering arises.
At that time, you should think, 'There is a job suited for me in the right place. By doing that job diligently, I can fulfill my life and also lead a happy life for others.'
There are various tools for carpentry. For example, there are saws, chisels, and planes. Each has its own role.
You should take another look at 'What role was I born to fulfill in this life?' Doing so will help you realize, 'Perhaps I am a person with this kind of mission.' It is important to shine brightly within that destiny. You must not try to replace it with someone else's life.
An unexpected cause of lack of motivation at work
Whether you can work and fight again the next day or continue good work is related to physical strength.
Of course, both work ability and physical strength are necessary, but without physical strength, you cannot continue good work for long.
Moreover, without physical strength, your judgment becomes pessimistic. In relationships, you become pessimistic and tend to think negatively, and in work, you feel that the future looks dark and bad.
When you have physical strength, the future appears bright. In relationships, you might think, 'Perhaps it can be improved,' and in work, you might think, 'Things might go well from here on.'
Those who are suffering at work may have issues with their physical strength, so in such cases, there may be aspects that need improvement from that perspective.
When you feel like 'kicking back but your feet won't move forward,' endure the time.
Promotions, transfers, and relocations can sometimes trigger depression, but in terms of 'resetting life,' they are not necessarily all bad.
For example, if you continue the same job for a long time, anyone can become good at it, but if suddenly your workplace changes or your position is elevated, you may temporarily become unable to work. When a regular employee becomes a manager, they cannot suddenly perform managerial tasks. Therefore, it becomes difficult as if you are diving underwater.
However, you must think of it as a kind of growth for yourself. You need to aim to 'somehow surface and get your head above water within about six months.'
I think it will be really tough during that time.
It will be very painful until your head is above water and you can breathe a sigh of relief. You will likely feel as if you are running on sandy ground, with a sense of lacking power.
For those who suddenly experience unexpected transfers, promotions, or advancements at work, I believe that for about six months, they will feel as if 'kicking back but their feet won't move forward,' like running on sand.
This is a tough period, but there is no other way than to endure the time.
You are not alone in experiencing such a state. Everyone goes through similar experiences. Therefore, you must not succumb to the suffering of being unable to work. I think it will feel very tough for about six months.
You are being tested on whether you can endure not being able to work like you used to. Can you endure a low self-evaluation? You must endure this period and gradually recover.
You cannot suddenly turn things around; progress will be slow, but at some point, you may suddenly find that you can do it.
It is important whether you can endure the tough times until then.
How to deal with the problem of 'not getting along with your boss' that confident people are prone to
Many people who are struggling with not getting along with their boss tend to have a certain level of self-confidence. They often dislike their boss's methods and think, 'I would do it this way,' but the boss has a completely opposite way of thinking. Alternatively, they may feel that they did well, but their boss's evaluation is very low.
Those who have had such experiences may strongly think, 'This is not fun. I don't want to work under this boss. I want to change departments.' However, having such thoughts can lead to pitfalls in the corporate world.
Of course, there is luck and misfortune. If a salaryman serves a good boss, they can work hard and demonstrate their abilities, but if they do not get along with their boss, that alone can hinder their work. Such luck and misfortune are inevitably part of the corporate world.
However, fundamentally, it is correct to think, 'Those who cannot get along with their boss cannot advance.' Even if another path opens up, I don't think they will achieve great success.
One of the reasons for not getting along with a boss is a strong ego.
You may be too self-assertive. You must first understand that 'the company is not there to recognize individual personalities.' The company aims to survive as an organization and strive for further development, not to acknowledge your self-assertion.
The responsibility for keeping a boss who seems inadequate from your perspective lies with the upper management of the company. What do you think of that upper management?
I do not know what position you are in, but there should be someone above who judges your boss's performance.
For example, if a section chief is inadequate, the department head or executives should be aware of it. Moreover, the department head or executives above the section chief are likely to be more advanced and trusted within the company than you. The fact that they keep the section chief in place means that he must have some good qualities.
Young subordinates' proposals are often rejected the first time
When young subordinates make proposals, bosses often reject them outright the first time. They might say, 'Aren't you still a first-year employee?' or 'Aren't you still in your third year?' or 'Isn't it a bit too early?' They often dismiss the content right away. If they think, 'This person is a bit cheeky, and if I accept their proposal outright, the seniors will be jealous,' they are likely to reject it.
Therefore, you should not take a 'NO' seriously. Even so, you must persistently challenge and repeatedly say, 'No, despite what you say, this is absolutely necessary.' If you do so, and if others have not said it that many times, in the end, when that person's opinion is accepted, everyone will agree.
If a boss immediately accepts the opinion of a young person with little experience, it may lead to jealousy and bullying from others, so they may initially reject it by saying, 'No.'
It's okay to maintain the status quo when you're unsure about changing jobs
To those currently struggling with changing jobs, if I were to answer in one word, I would advise, 'When you're unsure, it's okay to maintain the status quo. When you're in doubt, there's no need to move yet.' When you're unsure, it means you haven't fully committed to your true feelings yet.
In such times, it is important to try hard for six months or a year and accumulate your strength internally. This means working hard in your current job, and even if you change jobs, it is also about acquiring new knowledge and information to be able to manage. Alternatively, it could mean honing further abilities or acquiring additional skills to be able to act as a multi-talented person.
When it is truly time to change jobs, such a period will indeed come. You may feel that you absolutely dislike your current workplace and have the urge to "quit immediately," or even if you do not feel that way, events may occur that force you to quit.
Sometimes, Kannon may appear in the form of a very unpleasant boss, pushing you towards a job change. People who seem to be harassing you may appear, but this is actually a blessing. Alternatively, you may be strongly urged by your family. In such ways, you may be pushed into a situation where you have no choice but to quit.
Therefore, when deciding whether to change jobs, it is important to carefully discern whether "the stirrings of your own heart are strong" or "you are being forced into a situation by others where you have no choice but to do so."
And when you decide to change jobs, it is important to act decisively. Stand up like a man and embark on a new journey. It is fine to maintain the status quo during times of hesitation, but once you have made a decision, it is crucial to proceed without hesitation, with courage, and to advance the path with determination.
Regarding how to view your new job, let me just say, "It is not good to think too lightly." If you have the mindset that "somewhere out there, there is a wonderful paradise, and if you go there, you will be happy," that is a mistake.
"No matter what kind of place you go to, you should try your best to express yourself. Do not blame the environment, but do what you can by yourself," is when the path will finally open up.
Therefore, rather than simply thinking about "a slight increase in income," I believe you should consider, "Can I really carve out that path myself? Do I have that awareness?"
Let us discover the meaning of having received life in this world through our profession.
If you quietly gaze into your own heart and feel a sense of purpose and destiny, and if you feel, "I was born to do this kind of work," then your current job is suitable for you. Such people can be said to have a very high probability of success.
On the other hand, those who feel "I absolutely want to quit my current job" will not succeed even if they are forced to stay. There are also people who say, "My current job does not suit me, but I have another job I want to do, and that would fit me perfectly." In that case, since they are in the wrong place, they should change jobs.
However, for those who simply dislike work itself, the chances of success are almost nonexistent, no matter what they do. Such people also exist in society at a certain ratio.
In short, to enhance your work abilities, it is first necessary to feel a sense of purpose in your work, and the foundation of that is to deeply feel that "my destiny, the fate I was born with, is realized through that work."
Those who can think, "I will serve the world and give back through this work. I will achieve self-realization through work and dedicate myself to the world and others," will gradually become able to work just by having such thoughts.
However, those who cannot think this way and are working with a so-called temporary mindset will not become capable at work. Those who think, "I do not want to become capable at work, but I want my salary to increase every year. It is the greatest happiness for me that my salary increases even if I cannot do my job," will have almost no prospects of becoming capable at work.
"Feeling a sense of purpose in work" means "being able to express the meaning of having received life in this world through your profession." The feeling that "I am contributing to the world through this work" is important.
This can be called a "sense of mission." There is a very big difference between those who have a sense of mission and those who do not.
Those who do not have a sense of mission and think, "I will navigate the world smoothly like 'getting grain with wet hands'," will not understand no matter how much you preach to them. For such people, the only thing to say is, "Please judge the results yourself when your life ends."
It is important to feel a sense of purpose in work and to discover the meaning of having received life in this world through your profession.
