Let's learn about the "Law of Cause and Effect"

What I want you all to learn this time is that those who have achieved great success in the world all know and believe in the "Law of Cause and Effect."

The Law of Cause and Effect is the principle that states, "If you sow seeds and nurture them, the time for harvest will eventually come. However, seeds that are not sown will not grow."

A metaphor about rice

Let's explain this Law of Cause and Effect using rice as a metaphor, and discuss it in more detail.

To grow rice, you must sow seeds, nurture seedlings, cultivate the fields, bring in water, and plant the rice seedlings. Then, you need to make efforts to remove weeds and pests.

The weeds correspond to what you might call a lazy mindset. You will inevitably feel the urge to "be lazy and play." This is similar to the growth of weeds.

However, it is important to carefully remove those weeds. Fighting against the temptation to "be lazy and play" is the daily effort.

The world operates on the Law of Cause and Effect

If you properly sow seeds, water them, fertilize them, remove weeds, and nurture them with care, in autumn, the rice will be abundant. Then, after harvesting, you can eat rice.

Moreover, by selling that rice and earning income, a family can sustain their living. With that money, they can buy a car, a house, or go to school.

The world is built upon such a Law of Cause and Effect.

Successful people know the Law of Cause and Effect

Those who have achieved great success are well aware of what seeds they have sown, what efforts they have made, and how they have led to the results of their success.

It is others who do not know that. Because they do not understand why someone succeeded, they say things like, "That person was naturally smart," or "They came from a good family," or "They were just lucky."

Indeed, the efforts of successful people can be difficult for others to understand. However, there is the Law of Cause and Effect, and those who have achieved great success have certainly made corresponding efforts.

Of course, there may have been innate talent, but just having the "seed" of talent does not lead to growth, so they must have made efforts to nurture that seed.

Believe in the Law of Cause and Effect and make efforts

Not knowing such things and feeling jealous, resentful, or speaking ill of successful people is the lowest behavior. If you have that time, think about making as much effort as you can. That is much healthier and more constructive.

I have come to enjoy memorizing English words

苦手だった英語が好きになり、英検1級に合格。将来、英語を使った仕事をすることが目標。

僕は、将来外国の人に幸福の科学の教えを伝えられる人になるために、英語の勉強に力を入れています。
でも、高校生まで、英語は得意ではありませんでした。特に苦手だったのは英単語。なかなか覚えられず、学校の単語テストでは毎週居残って再テストを受けていたほどでした。
でも、1回で覚えられない単語も、あきらめずに2回、3回…と、繰り返し見て、少しでも記憶に残るように努力しました。
すると、映画や英字新聞など、ほかのところで「この単語、前も見たな。」と思うことが、だんだん増えてきたんです。これをくり返しているうちに少しずつ覚えた単語が増えていき、自分の世界が広がっていく面白さを感じるようになりました。
英語の勉強には上限がないけど、「だからこそ楽しい。」と、今では思います。

大学で数学を専攻している。尊敬する偉人は、日本を代表する数学者の岡潔（おか・きよし）。

私が「努力は実る。」と実感したのは、高3の受験勉強の時です。当時、希望の大学に受かるためには、数学の点数をもっと上げる必要がありました。
そこで、「数学の問題を、毎日30分は解く」というルールを決めたんです。
好きな数学であっても、受験勉強につかれると、だらけることもありました。でも、「ちょっとでもやるぞ。」と自分に言い聞かせて、とにかく机に向かうようにしました。すると、最初のなまけ心にかつと、その後はスムーズに勉強に入れると分かったんです。こうして本番までの半年間、毎日欠かさずルールを守ることができ、学校での数学の成績が1位に。大学にも無事に合格することができました。
この経験は、大学でさらに難しい数学に取り組む時の自信のもとになっています。努力は必ず、力になりますよ。
