Let's understand the meaning of being born 【Words of Light】

This time, I would like to talk about why humans are born.

Humans originally exist as a form called "soul," which is invisible, and they live in a world called heaven.
People living in such a heaven are reborn in this world once every few decades or centuries to live as humans.

For example, if I think, "In the past, I was born in the Edo period and had a topknot, but if I were born in modern times, I could have different experiences," I feel like wanting to be reborn on earth.

The soul that becomes a child starts to feel anxious about a year before birth, thinking, "I hope I can be born somehow." And, like going on a field trip, they are full of expectations and hopes, wondering, "What kind of life will it be this time?"

It can be said that it is just like a baseball game.
In baseball, teams are divided into opponents and allies, competing for points, but it is rare for one side to completely win or lose. Usually, it ends up being a game where one side scores 7 points while the other scores 3, or it could be 5 to 5, or 1 to 2, and the outcome is uncertain.

Similarly, while we do not know what the actual outcome of this life will be, it is precisely because we do not know that there is also an enjoyable aspect to it.

No one is born by chance, nor did their parents give birth to them arbitrarily.

"I was born into a bad family," or "I was born in a bad era," or "I was born in a bad country," there may be various ways to say it.
However, the truth is that everyone knew about such things before they were born.

If one chooses a bad environment, it means they are born thinking, "I want to polish my soul. Even in a bad environment, I can grow and develop." Those born into a good environment may have lacked confidence without it, or they might have thought, "Based on my life plans, it would be difficult without this kind of environment," and thus were born skillfully.

The time humans spend in the afterlife is overwhelmingly longer than the time spent in this world. They may stay in the afterlife for hundreds of years, while they are only in this world for a few decades. Life in this world is such a short time, and it feels like coming to play a baseball game.

"I want to gain new experiences once again. In a new era, I want to make new efforts and, if possible, have a slightly different, new personality than before," is what everyone is thinking when they are born.

Of course, there will be failures, and things may not go as planned.
However, as mentioned earlier, since we are born with the understanding that this is the starting point of life (※1), we need to consider it as our own issue rather than blaming others or the environment if our life leans towards failure.

※2 With understanding… Here, it means, "In a state of knowing that 'being born into this world is for gaining new experiences.'"
